Teacher Appreciation Week

The Parent Organization at our school gave each of us these
cute monogrammed vases.

This week has been 'Teacher Appreciation Week.' Although I don't think my job should be appreciated anymore than anyone else's job, I have enjoyed it throughly. Each day this week I have been given little treats. I have received: flowers, lunch, recipes, snacks, chocolate, bath/body products, and a gift card for sushi!

When my kids were still in grade school I use to send them with little gifts for the teachers. We had a teachers lunch where the PTA made and served lunch to the teachers. It is nice to be appreciated. The flowers are lovely. Our youngest daughter was recently accepted to the teachers program at our state university. Two more years to go and we will have a teacher in the family.

Rachel,

I am so proud of you because I know what a good teacher you are. I appreciate the job you do for these kids too. Just think, you have contributed to the future of other human beings! I wonder if some of them will think of you as their favorite one day!

You sure are my favorite!

Since you work with special needs kids, you definitely deserve all the treat you got this week! :)
